Your Privacy

We believe it is important that everyone understands how we handle personal data so that you can trust that your information is in good hands with us. In this Privacy & Cookie Policy, we have outlined how we manage this information.

What is personal data?

Personal data includes any information that can be directly or indirectly traced back to you as an individual. In a typical business relationship, this may include your name and email address, as well as your phone number, address, and date of birth. Any action taken with this personal data is referred to as ‘processing.’ The legal definition of ‘processing’ is broad and includes collecting, storing, consulting, using, and even deleting personal data.

Whose personal data do we process?

We process personal data of individuals with whom we have, have had, or wish to establish a direct or indirect relationship. This includes:

  • (Potential) contact persons of organizations that we consider to be our customers, suppliers, or other business relations;
  • Visitors to our websites.

Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

MARO Fasteners B.V. is responsible for processing personal data.

Why do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data for the following purposes, with examples of processing for each purpose:

  1. To establish and maintain a relationship with you
If you or the organization you represent want to become our customer, we need your personal data. This also applies if you or your organization want to become our supplier. Additionally, if you apply for a job or internship with us, we require your personal data.
  2. To provide advice and carry out marketing activities
To serve you as a contact person (and the organization you represent) effectively and to offer the best strategic communication support, we process data for marketing activities. For example, we may inform you about our products and services via phone or email.

No longer than necessary

We do not process more data than necessary for the purposes mentioned above, and we do not retain your personal data longer than required.

With whom do we share your data?

Your personal data may be shared with third parties. We engage external contractors/systems for certain tasks, such as (digital) printing companies, photographers, or email systems. We only use contractors who implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and ensure confidentiality. Additionally, they are not permitted to use your personal data for their own marketing activities.

How do we safeguard your privacy?

We prioritize privacy. We have a Privacy Officer who oversees compliance with privacy regulations and protection. The Privacy Officer serves as the central contact point for both the organization and the regulatory authority. Additionally, we have employees responsible for IT infrastructure security, particularly in relation to GDPR compliance. All our employees have signed confidentiality agreements, and only employees who require access due to their job responsibilities process your personal data.
